Gardening has long been a passion of mine. Spring is my favorite season, ripe with ideas, sprouting seeds and blooming flowers. I apply my money principles to everything I do. My beautiful, unique garden is a quilt of end of season clearance, half dead store rescues and transplants from friends' gardens. I love that my planting areas never stay exactly the same. Every year I am splitting plans and planting new thrifty additions.
This year I plan to enhance my herb garden. I have basics, sage, basil, chives, mint etc. I would like to dry and use my own herbs year rounds. For my daughter Lilly (and myself) we will make a fairy village in front of the house outside the kitchen window. Oh the ideas I have. I look forward to the challenge and hunt of making everything from misc household items. After all that's what tinker fairies do.
4x4 gardening will be implemented this year at Mystic Farms (I like the ring of that). I look forward to a plentiful harvest of vegetables. I want to try potatoes this year and I VOW to have a successful carrot crop. I would love any tips for growing carrots.
Check back here every so often until Spring arrives. I will be plotting and planning until I can break ground outside and play in the dirt.
