I am going back to basic money principles.

1. Follow spending plan/budget
2. Pay cash for groceries etc.
3. Save as much as we can.

We will pay ourselves first out of each paycheck. This will be done via direct deposit and automatic transfers between checking and savings, or Bill Pay and Contingency.

Only cash can be used for the purchase of groceries. This is the golden rule. No running to the store for odds and ends unless it is planned and budgeted for...and paid for with CASH. Seeing that I run on auto pilot with my check card, this will be an interesting new habit for me to concentrate on. This will be my first immediate money task. I will update in a few weeks.
